Nilda Holding a Sheep's Fleece

Nilda's affection for the animals she knew as a child can be seen as she holds the fleece of a sheep. Usually sheep are sheared and let go. But this sheep had the unhappy fate of being cooked and served in soups and stews at a holiday celebration.

Nilda will use the wool from the fleece to spin yarn for her next weaving project.
