Inca Agricultural Terraces

The Incas accomplished massive land works including the terracing of mountains so that crops could be grown on otherwise unusable land.

The deep agricultural terraces of Chinchero may have served not only for growing crops but for ritual purposes to celebrate Chinchero's production of potatoes.
