In the Courtyard

The art of weaving is important to modern Inca families as it was to their ancestors five hundred years ago. Every traditional family in Peru contains at least one weaver.

Nilda, many members of her family, and friends in Chinchero still create fine weavings for themselves and their families. Some men also weave.

The murals in the background were painted by Angel Callañaupa.
