Casiana Weaves the Milky Way

Fourth day alone to write. Tomorrow afternoon family returns to woods-it or splash-in for the weekend. Do I do any better writing here absolutely alone than at home? I used to think so — before discovering I’m not REALLY alone with my lively labradoodle and the distraction of Facebook. Maybe it’s not so bad to write on this blog, a space for my morning practice instead of the classic “morning pages” meant to exercise a writer’s voice.

I’m revising my latest story for the book. “Casiana Weaves the Milky Way.” Maybe it won’t be included in the collection. The selection process, however, is not a long time away. Publisher’s deadline: Oct. 15. It will be a late night, this one.
