Shepherding

Children in the Andes, as young as six or seven years old, are responsible for caring for the family sheep. Often they take the animals to the high mountains because the grass near the village becomes grazed too low. But in April, the end of the rainy season, these young shepherds have found their animals grass and water near the community.
